Shifted to the Ward

milestone

After 72 hours in the ICU, Papa was moved to a regular ward. A smaller victory, but we'll take every single one. Still in the hospital, still healing — but moving in the right direction.

Three long days in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Every hour monitored, every reading watched. Exhausting and terrifying and full of quiet prayers. He held steady through all of it.

Not Alone for a Single Second

emotional

Through the fear and the waiting and the not-knowing, Mamu's dear friend Dr. Smrity was right there. Not just as a doctor — as a friend. She stayed the whole time, helped us understand what was happening, and made sure Mamu didn't have to face any of it alone.

On His Way to the Hospital

medical

He was taken by ambulance straight to the hospital — and Mamu and Raman were right there with him, every second of that ride. Disoriented but conscious. A nosebleed on the way. Hearts pounding, hands holding.

He Came Back to Us

milestone

Papa had a seizure and stopped breathing for about 30 seconds. A parent nearby held him, kept him from falling further, and called for help. A teacher rushed over and gave him CPR — twenty, maybe thirty compressions. And then — he breathed again. We are forever grateful to every person who stood by him in those moments.

The Accident

medical

Papa was at a school event when a group of students running through the hallway crashed into him. He lost his balance, hit the back of his head on a concrete wall, and fell forward onto the ground. He lost consciousness instantly. One moment he was there — the next, everything changed.
